10 months tall!

Cooper is 10 months old ya'll! Woah man we are getting closer to that big ONE so fast!

So at 10 months...
Cooper is so.busy.
From the moment his little eyes open to the moment he goes to sleep.
Non.stop.
Plays all day.

Cooper is about 17.5 lbs
Is in 12 month clothing and shoes.

Pulls up and cruises on the furniture

Cooper loves:
Being outside
Pushing exploring his boundaries
Anything he is not supposed to have
Power cords
Tying to pull the carbon monoxide monitors upstairs out of the wall while Mom isn't looking
Flicking all the door stops in the house
Trying to climb the stairs
Anything he can pull up on to stand
Throwing his paci(s) out of his crib
(pacis are now down to just being a bedtime thing as we prepare to wean it)

He crawls so fast. He is quite the escape artist.
Don't blink or turn your head.
(here he is headed back for the carbon monoxide monitors halfway through diaper/PJs)

Can climb 2 stairs safely between the living room and kitchen

He has two teeth (on bottom) and is cutting his top two now!

His hair can go in a mohawk which is hilariously adorable.

This boy loves to eat and feed himself.
He is super independent!
 Cooper eats:
Pretty much anything you put in front of him to include...
4 6-9 oz bottles/day
3 meals + 1-2 snacks

He drinks water from his straw cup by himself.

He loves:
Any kind of berry
Turkey, Chicken or Beef (not so much fish or shrimp)
pasta
peanut butter
muffins and bread (especially tortillas, pita, peanut butter toast, croissants, muffins and banana bread!)
bananas
sweet potato (roasted or especially in fry form that he can do himself! Bonus on ketchup (which he got once and totally loved! haha!)!)
gerber puffs
hummus

Cooper has been vomiting and breaking out in hives any time he has dairy or eggs (yogurt, cheese, scrambled eggs, etc.)and he had lost a full pound since he started crawling despite eating all.the.things. so he got his first blood draw to check for allergies and we have since taken dairy and egg out of his diet (ok if it is cooked into something like bread but no primary sources).

Since taking it out of his diet, Cooper no longer has dermatitis which he has had since we started solids, stopped vomiting and poops went back to normal so I think we found our culprit!
His pediatrician thinks he will grow out of it so stay tuned!
So glad he's feeling better!
He had no clue what to do with his arm after that blood draw!

We also found out that he had his first (double!) ear infection (for which he was TOTALLY asymptomatic!).
He's also feeling much better from this too and his antibiotics have kicked his ever-present runny nose so that's awesome!

Cooper loves crunching paper and reading!

Especially with his daddy!

Cooper takes 2 naps a day (anywhere from 1-2.5 hrs) and sleeps 11-12 hours at night consistently (but is starting to show us that he may be close to losing that morning nap!) !
Praise the Lord Jesus!

He loves piggy back rides!

The weather has been (a little crazy but mostly) gorgeous as enter Spring!
We have been getting some great park time in!
Cooper loves swinging and exploring the park
(but does not always love putting on sunscreen, sunglasses or a sunhat!)

Cooper is SO expressive!
He is babbling and talking away all.the.time.
He loves and is so easy to laugh!
He's started getting a few of his first words but he doesn't quite use them intentionaly just yet.
Cooper says (randomly):
bye-bye
hi
ya
mama
daddy

He nods no on purpose when he wants you to stop something or if he is finished eating or playing with something.
He mimics everything he can (currently loves to mimic coughing or clearing your throat).
He knows and responds to his name.
He stops (most of the time) when you tell him no.
He loves to blow raspberries.
He started giving high fives and will (sometimes) blow kisses.

We got this picture almost exactly 9 months apart!
This was Alex's last race as an official part of the Bike Barn Houston team (he has been racing for Bike Barn up here but has since joined a new team for this season).
What a difference 9 months makes!
Can't wait as Coop gets bigger and can really cheer Daddy on!
He LOVED watching all the bikes go so fast!

Cooper J-
You are really showing your personality now big boy!
You are so sweet and tenderhearted and yet fiercely independent and a little stubborn (wonder where you got that!).
You are curious and so observant and want to figure things out and explore all the time!
You are starting to test boundaries a little but it's so wonderful to see you growing into your own little person!
You LOVE people and are so friendly (even though you have a touch of stranger danger these days).
You smile so big when you see Mommy or Daddy and you give the best snuggles!
You play so hard and you are so very busy and constantly on the move!
You are the most precious thing to us, sweet busy boy!
We love you and this great adventure you have us on so much!

Love,
Mom and Dad
